Donald J. Rivers Interpretive Center

“The Barn”, officially called the Donald J. Rivers Interpretive Center, is our newest addition to The Heritage Center.  It features extensive collections and displays revealing the agricultural heritage of the Fallbrook area, including the shifts from the early beekeepers and flourishing honey industry to the olive, then citrus and then avocado industries.  There are also artifacts of the local dairy industry on display.

Additionally, many examples of antique farm equipment and implements are exhibited for your enjoyment, as well as a complete collection of barb-wire from 1867 through the 1890’s.

A beautifully restored 1860’s “Brougham Ladies Afternoon Carriage” is proudly presented as the eye-catching centerpiece to “The “Barn”.

This facility is also available on a rental-basis for any variety of private events or business meetings.
