Happy Birthday to Marion Clemmens from the Fallbrook Historical Society!

On Saturday, July 14, 2018, the Fallbrook Historical Society, along with a spectacular showing of nearly 150 friends and family, hosted a grand celebration of  Marion Clemmens 100th birthday at the Heritage Center “Barn”.  Not merely a centennial celebration, but a public commemoration of the contributions he made as a permanent resident of Fallbrook for an entire century!

A devoted supporter of the Historical Society, Marion volunteered at the Heritage Center for 15 years up to the age of 95, caring for the grounds, gardening, helping to set up museum displays and organizing community work parties.  Seems only fitting that the Historical Society should host his celebration bash.

Daughter, Faye, regaled all with an amusing romp down memory lane, sharing many personal reflections on Marion’s life and character, before formal presentations were made honoring him for his dedicated service to The Historical Society and the Fallbrook Community.  Marion was honored with plaques of appreciation from the Fallbrook Historical Society as well as from the Fallbrook High School Alumni.  Following the formal presentations, many attendees participated in the “open mic” session congratulating Marion, and sharing more personal memories.

Indeed a splendid celebration!
